School has started in Georgia, and that always signals the end of summer even though fall is officially a month away. Most of us Georgians are looking forward to the cooler temperatures of autumn since we have suffered a heat wave combined by drought. Fall brings new possibilites in the world of decorating. We seem to be energized and ready for changes in our homes. The colors of fall are so warm and beautiful. As the trees begin to take on that barely visible hint of color we homemakers feel the "itch" to change some things around, to add some touches of the new season to the interiors, and to begin to look ahead to the holiday seasons quickly approaching. Watch for pictures of exciting new primitives, hand-mades, and fall decorating touches.
Ready to sell, sell, sell!!
Oh well, maybe I'll just do something else!

Our family - minus Jonathan and his family who live in Texas. This is the most precious gift that God ever gave me apart from my salvation.
Briley in her first Easter bonnet. Grandma insisted that she have one because her mommy and her Aunt Susan wore bonnets when they were babies. Note her bracelet. This girl knows how to dress up!
Dane getting ready to give Briley a kiss.
They would be such good buddies if they lived closer.
Dane and I sing "Ten Little Indians" and count his "piggies". He is showing Briley how it is done.
Baby Briley has "piggies", too.

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather. Today has been just perfect here in my little corner of the world. This is such a special time of year, the week before Easter. Those of us who are christians know that this is so much more than just a holiday. This is the day we celebrate the resurrection of our saviour. He willingly went to the cross and shed his blood for the remission of my sins as well as yours. As his body was laid in that borrowed tomb no doubt there was much sorrow among those who knew and loved him and had ministered with him. But ---- then came the morning! As the two Marys came to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus they found that the stone had been rolled away, and they saw an angel sitting upon it. The angel said to them, "Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here; for he is risen, as he said". Matthew 28: 5-6
My prayer for you is that you know this saviour personally as I do. I am absolutely sure that when I die I will go to heaven, not because of anything that I have done but because of what Jesus did for me. If you cannot say this with complete assurance then let me invite you to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to save your soul. He will !
Happy Easter ---- I hope that you have a wonderful celebration with those you love, and I pray that we all will remember exactly what this time of celebration means.

Primitive shoe shine box. Great color!
Since I really like anything that has drawers, this is my kind of piece. So many uses. I can see it on a kitchen counter filled with special things and all that wonderful display space on top.
Choices, choices, choices --- how to decide?!?
Such a pretty little chest. Beautiful old platter, and I just love the new candle holders that we have. They add just that little special "touch" to your decor.
